Biggest 3wheeler Ever!
(and it's right way 'round, too)
This is the Lebedenko (aka:"Tsar") Tank. State of the art military tech in 1914. Its front wheels are almost nine meters in diameter. Unfortunately, during testing its tiny (1.5m) rear wheel got stuck in a ditch and the engine wasn't strong enough to pull its forty ton weight back out again.Imagine if the Imperial Russian army had had a powerful-enough-to-pull-its-own-weight version of these in 1917...Empire of the 3wheelers!

yeah, but does it lean?
ReplyDeleterussian technology at its finest. and it took us 30 years to beat these guys?
I spent a couple hours on sunday de-winterizing Cochinillo del fuego. drained and filled the tank and carbs, ran some sea-foam, fresh Bosch Platinum plugs. I found that my fuel line had dry-rotted and cracked, so i replaced that. Charged up the battery and she fired on the first try. I was shocked... I really thought I was going to have to pull the carbs like last year.
ReplyDeleteNext up: fabricating hard mounts for my soft saddlebags
Bones,
ReplyDeleteThe forgiving nature of the Puget Sound climate allows for year-round riding (gloat, gloat), so I've never stored any of my bikes for more than a week. I don't have a point, I just like to rub it in.
I hope there will be pictures of the bag mount fabrication process. Homemade mods are a great spectator sport.
